Approach

A quantitative study of 18-25 year olds was conducted to establish to prevalence of intimate partner abuse and the nature of this abuse. Focus was given to abuse via digital technology. The survey was followed up by focus groups among young people who experienced abuse or knew somebody who had. The groups focus on the role of the by stander and how to spot the red flags of an abuse relationship.

Outcome

The project provided our client with a deeper understanding of the role and impact of abuse in young people lives. It helped inform the tone of voice of a campaign which was developed to encourage victims and family/friends of victims to report incidences of abuse.
